Safe Communities strives to improve traffic safety.  Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death and disabling injury for people in Wyandotte County between 5 and 45 years of age.

Safe Communities works with partner agencies to:

• Increase appropriate usage of child passenger safety seats
• Increase seat belt usage
• Encurage bicycle safety
• Encourage safe routes to school
